China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held a seminar discussing China’s current economic situation on July 21st, 2019 in Beijing. The event, which brought together a group of senior economic experts as well as policymaking officials and experienced market participants, was centered on CF40 Q2 2019 Macroeconomic Policy Report.
The event started with two keynote speeches – “The Features of the Recent Downward Adjustment of China’s Economy” and “Macroeconomic Policy Choice in the Context of Trade Disputes between China and the US” by Lu Feng, CF40 Advisor and Professor of National School of Development at Peking University (PKU), and Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Wang Yi, CF40 Member and Director-General of the Department of Finance of Ministry of Finance, and Chen Changsheng, CF40 Guest Member and Director-General and the Macroeconomic Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council.
Participants to the event also include Liao Min, CF40 Academic Committee member, Deputy Director of the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance; Chen Wenhui, CF40 adviser and Vice President of the National Council for Social Security Fund; Gao Shanwen, CF40 Academic Committee member and Chief Economist of Essence Securities; Huang Yiping, Chairman of CF40 Academic Committee and Deputy Dean of National School of Development at PKU among others.
Wang Haiming, CF40 Secretary-General moderated the seminar.
