China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held a seminar discussing China’s macroeconomic situation on April 22, 2018 in Beijing. The event which brought together a group of senior economic experts as well as policymaking officials and experienced market participants, was centered on CF40’s Q1 Macroeconomic Policy Report.
The event started with a keynote speech by Ma Jun, CF40 Member and Director of the Center for Finance and Development of National Institute of Financial Research of Tsinghua University, on “Infrastructure Investment and Local Governments Bonds in China”, and a presentation on the report by Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Yu Xuejun, CF40 Guest Member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of State-Owned Financial Institutions, Zhou Xuedong, Member of CF40 Council and deputy head of the Financial Stability Bureau at the People's Bank of China, and Wang Yi, CF40 Member and Director-General of the Department of Finance of the Ministry of Finance.
Participants also included Xiao Gang, Member of the National Committee of CPPCC and former Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Gao Shanwen, Member of CF40 Academic Committee and Chief Economist of Essence Securities, Liu Shangxi, CF40 Member and President of Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences, and Liang Hong, CF40 Guest Member and Head of Research Department at China International Capital Corporation among others.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming moderated the seminar.
