China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held a seminar discussing China’s macroeconomic situation on November 5, 2017 in Beijing. The event which brought together a group of senior economic experts as well as policymaking officials and experienced market participants, was centered on CF40’s Q3 Macroeconomic Policy Report.
The event started with a keynote speech – “Structural Adjustment and Industrial Policy” by Bai Chong’en, Member of CF40’s Academic Committee and Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, and a presentation on the report by Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Cai Fang, CF40 Advisor and Vice President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Liu Guoqiang, CF40 Guest Member and Assistant Governor of the People’s Bank of China.
Participants also included Gao Shanwen, Member of CF40 Academic Committee and Chief Economist of Essence Securities, Liu Shangxi, CF40 Member and President of Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences, and Zhong Wei, Director of Financial Research Center at Beijing Normal University, Wu Ge, CF40 Guest Member and Chief Economist of Huarong Securities among others.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming moderated the seminar.
