On July 23, 2017, CF40 hosted a roundtable discussion on its Q2 2017 Macroeconomic Policy Report in Beijing. The theme of the report was “Impacts of Deleveraging on the Real Economy”.
The event started with a keynote speech “Shadow Banking and Financial Deleveraging” by Gao Shanwen, CF40 Academic Committee Member and Chief Economist at Essence Securities, and a presentation on the report by Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow Zhang Bin, followed by comments from Zhang Xiaohui, CF40 Guest Member and Assistant Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Bai Chong’en, CF40 Academic Committee Member and Executive Associate Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, and Liang Hong, CF40 Guest Member and Chief Economist at China International Capital Corporation.
Participants also included Xu Xianchun, CF40 Advisor and Former Deputy Commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics, Wang Xin, CF40 Member and Director-General of the Currency Gold and Silver Bureau of the People’s Bank of China, and Miao Yanliang, CF40 Guest Member among others.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming chaired the meeting.
