On September 12, CF40 held the Fourth Jinjialing Wealth Management Forum in Qingdao, with support from Laoshan District and Jinjialing Financial Zone Management Committee. Mayor of Qingdao, Mr. Lu Zhiyuan, gave the opening speech, which was followed by three fruitful plenary sessions.
Moderated by CF40 secretary-general Wang Haiming, the first plenary session, with six keynote speeches, established the main theme on “Wealth Management in a New Situation”. The keynote speakers were: Shang Fulin, chairman of the Committee for Economic Affairs of National Committee of the CPPCC; CF40 advisor Wang Zhaoxing, counselor of the State Council; Tu Guangshao, chairman of the executive council of Shanghai Finance Institute (SFI); Wang Zhongmin, former vice chairman of National Council for Social Security Fund; Zhu Yunlai, member of CF40 executive council; and CF40 member Wang Yi, deputy general manager of China Everbright.
The second plenary session on “Wealth Management Differentiation under Unified Regulation” was joined by CF40 guest member Sun Tianqi, director-general of the Financial Stability Bureau of PBOC; Yu Chunling, member of CF40 executive council and general manager of Xinhua Fund; Zhang Xuyang, chief business director of Everbright Bank and chairman of Everbright Wealth Management; and Gu Weiping, president of CIB Wealth Management. The speakers talked about wealth management in a new era, risk control in the industry and the differentiated paths of banks’ wealth management services. This session was moderated by CF40 member Zhang Chenghui, former Director of Research Institute of Finance at the Development Research Center of the State Council.
Shifting to the topic “Aging Population and Pension Finance System,” the third session discussed China’s current pension system, the development path and international experience for pension finance, and featured speeches by CF40 guest member Wang Xin, director-general of PBOC's Research Bureau; CF40 member Zhang Jianhua, president of Huaxia Bank; Zheng Bingwen, director of Global Social Insurance Research Center of CASS; Luo Yanjun, deputy director of the Department of Insurance Capital Application Supervision, CBIRC; and Liu Lina, general manager of the Asset and Liability Department at Postal Saving Bank of China. SFI vice-president Liu Xiaochun was the moderator of the last session.
