China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held an online seminar discussing China’s macroeconomic situation on April 25th, 2020 in Beijing. The event, which brought together a group of senior economic experts as well as policymaking officials and experienced market participants, was centered on CF40’s Q1 Macroeconomic Policy Report.
The webinar started with two keynote speeches – "Policy Response to the COVID-19 Crisis" and "The Great Depression and Roosevelt's New Deal" by Huang Yiping, Chairman of CF40 Academic Committee and Deputy Dean of National School of Development at Peking University, and Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Cai Fang, Member of CF40 Academic Committee and Vice-President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Zhang Xiaohui, CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow and former Assistant Governor of the People’s Bank of China.
Participants also include Liu Shangxi, CF40 member and President of Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences; Wu Ge, CF40 member and Chief Economist of Huarong Securities; and Liu Yuanchun, CF40 Member and Vice President of Renmin University of China.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming moderated the seminar.
