On December 8, 2019, China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held a closed-door seminar to discuss risk management at small- and medium-sized banks and their future prospect.
The seminar started with keynote speeches by Sun Guoli, CF40 Invited Member and President of the Bank of Tianjin, and Liu Xiaochun, Vice President of Shanghai Finance Institute, on "The Development of Small- and Medium-Sized Banks in the Future" and "Challenges Faced by Small- and Medium-Sized Banks", respectively. Following the speeches, Zhang Xiaohui, CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow, Wang Jingwu, CF40 Invited Guest and Head of the Financial Stability Bureau of the People's Bank of China, and Xiao Yuanqi, CF40 Member and Chief Risk Officer of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, gave their comments.
Participants also included Xiao Gang, CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow, Zhang Chenghui, CF40 Member and Former Director-General of Research Institute of Finance, Development Research Center of the State Council, and Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow among others.
