On July 23, 2016, CF40 held a roundtable discussion on Q2 2016 Macroeconomic Policy Report. The topics of discussion included the slowing down of investments, debt leverage, and economic growth.
The event started with a keynote speech by Bai Chong’en, CF40 Member and Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University on the growth prospects of Chinese economy, and a presentation on the Q2 Macroeconomic Policy Report by Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Cai Fang, CF40 Guest Member and Vice President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Xu Xianchun, CF40 Member and Deputy Commissioner of National Statistics Bureau.
Participants also included Liu Shangxi, CF40 Member and President of Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences, Xing Ziqiang, Chief China Economist of Morgan Stanley, Wu Ge, CF40 Guest Member and Chief Economist of Huarong Securities and Ren Zhiqiang, Vice Chairman of China Real Estate Industry Association among others.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming chaired the session.
