China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) held a seminar discussing China's macroeconomic situation on April 24, 2016 in Beijing. The event which brought together a group of senior economic experts as well as policymaking officials and experienced market participants, was centered on CF40's Q1 Macroeconomic Policy Report.
The event started with two keynote speeches – "Atypical Economic Cycle" by Peng Wensheng, CF40 Member and Global Chief Economist and Head of Research at CITIC Securities, and “Financial Spillover of Emerging Economies” by He Dong, CF40 Member and Deputy Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of International Monetary Fund, and a presentation on Q1 Macroeconomic Policy Report by Zhang Bin, CF40 Senior Fellow, followed by comments from Liang Hong, Chief Economist of China International Capital Corporation, and Ren Zhiqiang, Vice Chairman of China Real Estate Industry Association.
Participants also included Gao Shanwen, CF40 Member and Chief Economist of Essence Securities, Zhong Wei, CF40 Member and Director of the Financial Research Center at Beijing Normal University, Zhang Jianhua, President of Beijing Rural Commercial Bank among others.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming chaired the session.
