In October, 2015, the China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) visited the US for its annual exchange program with the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE).
On October 6, the two think tanks jointly held the first China Economic Forum in New York on the theme of "China's Financial Stability". The conference consisted of four sessions, focusing on such themes as fundamentals of China's growth, exchange rate management and RMB internationalization, China's financial innovation and macro-prudential policy, and China's housing market, stock market and systemic financial risk prevention, respectively.
During their stay in the US, the CF40 delegation also paid visits to institutions including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, CME Group, the Paulson Institute, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Citigroup. Topics of common concern such as Sino-US economic situations, monetary policy, and financial regulation in the two countries were discussed.
