In response to recent swings in the Chinese stock market, a closed-door seminar themed "The Stock Market Plunge and Systemic Risk" was held on July 7th, 2015 by CF40.
At the seminar, Zhong Wei, Director of the Finance Research Center at Beijing Normal University, analyzed the causes of the recent stock market turbulence, and shared his opinions on what the government should do to save the market. Lin Caiyi, Chief Economist at Guotai Junan Securities, talked about the risk transmission mechanism of margin trading. Xu Gao, Chief Economist at Everbright Securities, examined the impact of and the possible solutions to the recent turmoil.
