On June 8, 2017, CF40 hosted the 96th Youth Forum with Prof Wei Shangjin, CF40 Member and Professor of Finance and Economics at Columbia University.
At the meeting, Prof Wei presented his latest research Rethinking the Impact of Sino-US Trade Conflict on US Employment – a Value Chain Perspective which was co-authored with Prof Wang Zhi of George Mason University, Prof Yu Xinding and Prof Zhu Kunfu of the University of International Business and Trade in Beijing.
Following Prof Wei's presentation, Zhang Yuyan, CF40 guest speaker and Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Miao Yanliang, CF40 member and Head of Research at the Investment Center of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange made comments on the research. Participants also discussed how to develop a balanced Sino-US trade relationship.
CF40 Senior Fellow Zhang Bin chaired the discussion.
