On March 15, 2020, China Finance 40 Forum held an online seminar to discuss global financial turmoil amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, economic recession and the coping strategies.
The seminar started with two keynote speeches by Ms. Zhu Jun, CF40 member and Director-General of the International Department at the PBoC, and Mr. Gao Shanwen, CF40 member and Chief Economist at Essence Securities. The speeches were followed by comments from Xiao Gang, CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow and former Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Zou Jiayi, CF40 Advisor and Vice Minister of Finance, and Chen Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund of China.
Participants also included Yu Yongding, CF40 Advisor and Academician of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Huang Yiping, Chairman of CF40 Academic Committee and Deputy Dean of National School of Development at Peking University, and Gao Shanwen, Member of CF40 Academic Committee and Chief Economist of Essence Securities among others.
