On August 18, CF40 held a seminar themed Supervision and Development of Financial Holding Companies to discuss issues related to the recently released Interim Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Financial Holding Companies (Exposure Draft). The seminar focused on questions like: What is the key to the supervision of financial holding companies? And how can the Exposure Draft be improved?
The seminar started with two keynote speeches by Mr. Fan Wenzhong, CF40 Member and Chairman of Beijing Financial Holdings Group, and Mr. Liang Shidong, representative of CF40 member institution and Vice President of Ant Financial. Following the speeches, five speakers gave their comments, including Mr. Xiao Gang, CF40 Non-Resident Senior Fellow; Mr. Xie Ping, Vice Chairman of CF40 Executive Council; Mr. Zhou Xuedong, CF40 Council Member and Director-General of the General Administration Department of the People's Bank of China; Ms. Huo Yingli, Director-General of Macroprudential Policy Bureau of PBOC and Mr. Huang Jinbo, Deputy Director-General of the Innovation Supervision Department of the CBIRC.
Also attending the seminar were Mr. Pan Gongsheng, CF40 Advisor and Chief Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and Mr. Liao Min, CF40 Academic Committee Member, Deputy Director of Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission and Vice Minister of Finance among others.
