On September 9, 2018, the Shanghai Financial Institute (SFI) and the Pu Shan Foundation (PSF) co-hosted a closed-door seminar to discuss the impact of China-US “trade war” on the financial market.
Yu Yongding, CF40 Advisor and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Guan Tao, CF40 senior fellow; and Gao Shanwen, CF40 Academic Committee Member and Chief Economist of Essence Securities made keynote speeches at the seminar. The themes were “Renminbi Exchange Rate and China-US Trade War”, “Opportunities and Challenges: Market-oriented Reform of the RMB Exchange Rate under China-US Trade Friction”, “Impacts of China-US Trade War” respectively.
More than 30 experts from financial regulatory authorities, leading academic institutes, and financial institutions attended the seminar.
SFI Executive President and PSF Vice Chairman Wang Haiming moderated the discussions. China Finance 40 Forum provided academic support to the seminar.
