On March 11, 2018, CF40 held a seminar on the risks of China-US trade conflict and coping approaches.
At the first session, Dr. Ha Jiming, CF40 Senior Fellow, Prof. Lu Feng, CF40 Guest Member and Professor from National School of Development of Peking University, and Prof. Ren Ruo’en from School of Economics and Management of Beihang University delivered speeches on the impact of China-US trade frictions on the Chinese Economy, facts about and causes behind the change of US policy towards China, consequences of the conflicts and the latest development of the US Economy.
Following the speeches, Mr. Long Guoqiang, CF40 Academic Committee Member and Vice Minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council and Dr. Gao Shanwen, Chief Economist at Essence Securities gave their comments.
In the second session, Mr. Sun Yuanjiang and Mr. Huo Jianguo, both former officials of the Ministry of Commerce, briefed on related research they were working on.
The seminar was moderated by Mr. Wang Haiming, CF40 Secretary-General.
