On May 13, 2017, the Shanghai Finance Institute (SFI) held a seminar on the topic of Theory of Digital Currency and China’s Innovation.
The seminar kicked off with a keynote speech by Xie Ping, Vice-chairmen of CF40 Executive Council and CF40 Senior Fellow on digital currency research. The speech was followed by comments from Yao Qian, Deputy Director-General of PBOC’s Technology Department and Lin Xiaoxuan, Representative of CF40 Member Institution and Chief Information Office of China Minsheng Bank. Attendees then had in-depth discussions on innovative practice of digital currency, impact of digital currency on traditional currency and finance, and legal and regulatory issues.
Also attending the seminar were Zhang Chenghui, CF40 Guest Member and former Director-General of Research Institute of Finance at Development Research Center of China’s State Council and Wan Jianhua, Chairman of Association of Shanghai Internet Finance Industry, among others.
The Seminar was moderated by Wang Haiming, SFI Executive President.
