On November 5, 2016, China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) hosted a roundtable discussion themed “The Development of China’s Bond Market and Top Level Design”.
During the first half of the seminar, Ji Zhihong and Xu Zhong, Director-General and Deputy Director-General of the Financial Market Department at PBoC gave a keynote speech on the thematic topic. Huang Yiping, CF40 Academic Committee Member and Deputy Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University, and Liu Jun, CF40 Invited Guest and Vice President of China Investment Corporation commented on the research analysis.
During the second half of the seminar, participants held an in-depth discussion on related topics including the evolution of China’s bond market and lessons learned, major challenges facing its future development, and international comparison of bond markets in China and other countries.
Pan Gongshegn, CF40 Academic Committee Member, Deputy Governor of PBoC and Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) made concluding remarks.
CF40 Secretary-General Wang Haiming chaired the seminar. Shanghai Finance Institute (SFI) and Northern Finance Institute (NFI) provided support to the roundtable.
