A closed-door seminar on the transmission mechanism of interest rates was held on August 23, 2015.
The event started with a speech by Ma Jun, Chief Economist of the Research Bureau at the People's Bank of China, following which Yu Yongding, CF40 Advisor and Academician at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Huang Yiping, CF40 Member and Deputy Dean, National School of Development, Peking University gave their comments.
In the second half of the seminar, participants shared views on a series of issues including the necessity of the transformation of the framework of monetary policy, the importance of interest rate transmission mechanism and the theoretical model of interest rate transmission mechanism.
